My Premier League Preview |Who Will Win, Relegation, Europe, and Golden Boot

Hello and welcome to my 2015/2016 Premier League Preview. Today we speak about who I think will win the Premier League, who will be relegated, who will qualify for Europe, and who will finish top goal scorer.

First up who will win the Premier League. Chelsea, Chelsea will defend their title. A star studed roster along with the best manager in the league. No other team can compete with Chelsea. Coming off his PFA player of the year award, Eden Hazard is only getting better with age and experience. Look for him to be one of Chelsea’s key men going forward. Another player crucial to their title defense who is often over looked is Nemanja Matic. Not known for his attacking ability, Matic makes up for Cesc Fabragas’ lack of defensive workrate and is crucial in cutting off those passing lanes and clogging up the middle. Coming off of last season with a 86% pass accuracy, he is crucial no only defensivly but transitioning from defence to offense. Also for being a big physical player he only has 10 yellow cards and one red card all last season. Other crucial players are Diego Costa leading goal scorer and Cesc the assist king. Chelsea will not be touched this season and should clinch the title a few weeks before the season is over.

Next who is going down from the premier league, There are multiple teams I have in mind who could be going down. But the three who will go down are: Watford, AFC Bournemouth, and Aston Villa in no particular order. First time Premier League comers AFC Bournemouth are as impressive as their story. With lead striker Callum Wilson leading the charge, Bournemouth have quality and have made some very good offseason moves with the additions of Artur Boruc perminently, Christian Atsu on loan, and Sylvain Distin to name a few. But in my honest opinion they don’t have enough Premier League experience. Joining Bournemouth in relegation will be Watford who unlike Bournemouth aren’t first time comers to the Premier League. But when Behrami and Capoue are marquie signings you can’t expect to stay up too long. With troy deeney leading the charge up top I don’t think it will be enough to stay up they lack the quality all over the field. Finally the last team going down is Aston Villa. Many of you may not agree with this choice but with the departure of teams leading goal scorer Christian Benteke and midfielder Fabian Delph they are lacking quality players in the final third. Gabby Agbonlahor and Scott Sinclair aren’t reliable quality goal scorers. Unless Aston Villa bring in a striker of Benteke quality they will struggle.

Next who will win the golden boot. I am going to have to go with Harry Kane. Coming off his breakout year where he scored 21 goals in the league, made his England debut, and won PFA Player of the Year Award. He is beginning to settle in to the Premier League and him being Tottenham’s only good striker he will play everygame and be that target man who everyone looks for. Now that he is getting older he’ll get experience and use last year as a baseline to improve on and he can only get better. Another honorable mention is Sergio Aguero who if he stays healthy can compete for that title.

Finally we reach who will get the covinent European spots. Along with Chelsea will be Arsenal, United, and City in the Champions League spots and Liverpool in the Europa League spot. Along with Chelsea, Arsenal, United, and City are all very quality sides but all lack one key piece to being champions like Chelsea. Arsenal lack an experienced CDM and a quality striker. Sami Khedira would have been a perfect fit but Arsene obviously didn’t agree. United lack another striker to backup Rooney and a quality centerback that can lead from the back. Rojo and Smalling aren’t bad players just not leaders. City lack a manager. Manuel Pelligrini is the most tactically inclined manager I’ve ever seen. City have the quality and depth of players ranging from young to old but Manuel doesn’t know what to do with them. Lastly Liverpool, Liverpool is a tricky situation. They have the quality of players and Brendan Rodgers isn’t a bad manager. They just won’t win games.
